He is known for building strong leadership teams, implementing scalable systems, and aligning strategy to execution in complex environments.

Gordon Comfort brings more than two decades of leadership experience across education, nonprofit, and enterprise organizations. Throughout his career, he has led large, multi-site operations through periods of growth, transformation, and strategic realignment, consistently focusing on building systems that drive performance and accountability.
Most recently, as Chief Operating Officer of the American Kennel Club, Gordon led enterprise operations across technology, customer experience, marketing, and national program delivery, supporting an $80M+ organization. Prior to that, as Chief Operating Officer of ACCEL, he oversaw multi-state education and clinical service operations serving children and families, leading a workforce of more than 500 employees across multiple regions and countries.
Earlier in his career, Gordon served as a high school principal, assistant principal, and school board member, building a foundation in education leadership that continues to inform his work today.
